I am truley sorry for your loss. I was a student in Mrs. Collers' PE class for 6th and 7th grade and she was a great teacher and a great person outside of class. She was always fun and easy to talk to. It's such a shame that she had to go so early... She will be remembered by all of her students, and by many others. My deepest sympathies go out to her husband and her daughters, as well as friends, whom were very lucky to have such a wonderful mother and friend.

I didn't know Kate well, but the times I was fortunate enough to spend time with her were enjoyable and uplifting. She was a bright light; a warm, caring, energetic spirit who will be long remembered and forever loved. My love and sympathy go out to her loving family and friends, particularly her sweet daughters. May you find comfort in the memories of the time you spent with Kate and all the love she shared with you.

Knowing Kate, Lucy and Anna for years has been a celebration of vitality, caring and an example of wonderful family attitudes. Kate, Anna & Lucy joined Holy Trinity Lutheran Church when the girls were very young. I will miss our Facebook posts and messages that Kate shared with me every week. We shared positive statements and prayers every week while she conquered and battled cancer.
When my wife, Lois, was diagnosed with breast cancer in the spring of 2015, Kate met with us over lunch at the Turtle Leaf Café and coached Lois before she went through 18 weeks of chemotherapy. Her spirit lives on as her inspirational attitude transcends the suffering fear and pain that had to be connected with her struggles. Kate also leaves a legacy of parenting. We knew Anna and Lucy well enough to realize what a wonderful mother Kate was. I would receive heartfelt thank you notes from the girls and Kate always made sure that they appreciated the efforts of hundreds of people from the community. Kate's kindness and personality live on through her daughter's example.
I am deeply sorry for the tremendous loss and that her mother, daughters and family will
have to cope with such a hole in their lives. I know you, Kate, are irreplaceable. We will all miss you in the deepest sense. Your spirit, Kate, lives on in everyone's life you touched. I pray for all who mourn your passing. I know now, that you are present in a beautiful place, free from suffering. God Bless You Kate! Bill Wolfe
