So very sad to hear this news today, moments before the news and earlier this week, she came to my heart as I gave massage sessions. I will always be thankful for the time that I worked with and for her at the Ravens Nest Spa. She was an accomplished business woman and LMT. I will always remember her laughter and words of wisdom we shared in our brief 2 years working together. She was a blessing to me in my life and career. I loved how she loved on my german shepherd dog who has also passed recently, he just cuddled into her every chance he got. I wish I had the group LMT photo we all took at the end of 2020 COVID year, there were 5 of us by then. I won't forget surviving 2020 COVID business shutdown times with her, we kept her business and ours going

I remember last summer when Sheila and Pam came to visit me. They brought wine and chocolate. We spent the afternoon reminiscing and laughing. Recently I received a beautiful card from Sheila. She wrote that if she was in Elmira this summer, she would be sure to stop by with more wine and chocolate. Thinking of all of you, love Aunt Bet.

Dear Aber family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I was searching the Elmira Obits and came across Sheila obituary this evening.
I can’t even express the pain I feel in my heart for all of you. I just walked this path in February with my family.
I will keep you in my prayers. We all know that with time, we all will heal.
Love forever, Deb Check

I met Sheila at Elmira College where she and I had some classes together. I spent the summer of 1985 at Elmira and she was very welcoming, showing me where to go and hang out when you're not in session during college. She was a sweet person and loved her competitive attitude. She was gracious, genuine, and just a fun person to hang with. I regret not calling her sooner after I spoke with her this past January when talking about golf clubs. We had a short chat and I was supposed to call her back but waited too late. I will miss you, Shelia. You were one of a kind. My condolences to the family and sorry for your loss. Sheila will be missed by many whom she encountered. RIP

I met Sheila in our Sophmore year at Notre Dane High School and became close friends almost immediately. She was such a bright light in all of our lives! So many memories of times spent laughing, crying and joyful times with friends and family! I will miss her enormously and so thankful for such an amazing friend!!! The pictures are from one of our adventures when she showed me Alaska!!

My condolences to Sheila’s family, of whom there are many, and to her friends, of whom there are many more. Having been friends with her for 46 years, I witnessed her spirit, grace, humor, and love for others up close. Her loss is devastating, but her love for life and friends and gatherings will live on. RIP Wabie - say hi to Macker for us.
