Rosalie, Danny Jo and Mary,
I was very saddened to hear about Danny's passing. I spent so many years working with you all at the restaurant. Danny became like an additional parent for me. We laughed, told dirty jokes, and sang old songs many a night. He taught me so much over the years about kindness, being a good human, looking out for family and friends, and also about the restaurant business. I will miss his smile and laughter. Mr. Mandell was one of my heroes! As a teller, I waited on him for years at HSBC Bank (formerly Marine Midland). What a sweet, uplifting, honest, friendly, precious man. Always would make me and the other tellers smile. I visited Mandell’s as well ….. and same response from him. So genuine. Prayers for his wife and family - that God would bring you His comfort, peace, love and even joy. He’s certainly gonna be missed !!!!!!

Judy and I are saddened to learn of Mr. Mandell’s passing. He was such a wonderful person and family man. We have many fond memories of dining at his restaurant, one of the finest in the area, where the ultimate Pittsburgh Pirate fan always referred to me as Mr. Steinbrenner. His sense of humor was always on display when we would see each other at the Mark Twain Golf Course or elsewhere in the community. Our most sincere condolences to Dan’s family and many friends.
