Obituary of Audrey E. Manzo

Audrey E. Manzo Elmira: Age 88, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012, at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Audrey was born November 26, 1923, a daughter of Thomas and Irene (Youngerman) Berwick. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years Anthony J. Manzo, Sr.; children, Kathleen A. Piazza and husband Donald, Jamestown NY, Marilyn M. Cary and husband Dwight "Curly" of Austin, TX, Angela M. Deats, Austin, TX, Anthony J. "Nino" Manzo, Jr., Elmira, Mary Jo Cerqua and husband Frank, Baldwinsville, NY; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson; sister Phyllis E. Cady, Pine City; sister-in-law Esther Hetherton, Myrtle Beach, SC; along with several nieces and nephews. Audrey was predeceased by her sister Virginia Hamilton and brother-in-law Harold "Bud" Cady. Audrey was a beautician, working out of her home for 20 years. She loved animals of all kinds. Audrey was devoted to her family and will be loved and missed by them, always. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church. Interment, with committal prayers, will follow at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
