Obituary of Mary Frances McFarland

Age 88, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017 in New Jersey. Mary was the beloved daughter of the late Francis J. McFarland, Sr. and Anna Marie (Kelly) McFarland. She was the loving sister of the late Francis Joseph McFarland. Mary is survived by her dear sister-in-law, Mary K. McFarland, and was a beloved aunt to Pat McFarland, Susan Mary Miles and her husband Paul, Nancy Ann McFarland and her husband Tom Schmidt, and James Francis McFarland and his wife Kelly. Mary is also survived by many great nieces and great nephews. Mary was born and raised in Elmira. She received her BS in Mathematics and History from Elmira College. Mary spent her career with Corning Glass Co. She will be missed by her family and much loved friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 604 Park Place, Elmira. Her Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment, with committal prayers, will then take place in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
