age 90, died on December 19, 2016 at Elcor Health Services in Horseheads. Diana was born in Elmira, daughter of the late Ralph and Betty (Freelove) DeMark . Diana grew up and worked her entire life in Elmira. She married her beloved husband Donald "Don" Tarantelli in 1948. Diana thoroughly enjoyed raising her boys, Tom and Joel, and was so proud of her family and home! After Don's death in 1971, she continued to demonstrate how independent, capable and loving she was for friends and all her family. For many years she managed The 19th Hole in Elmira Heights. She was a longtime member and past president of Elmira Eagles Aerie #941. Diana is survived by children, Thomas (Ingrid) and Joel (Dianne); grandchildren Marc, Ann, Krista and Jess; four great-grandchildren; sister Theresa (Don); and her extended family including many cousins, nieces, nephews and Karen, Dan and Danny Jochem. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Ralph, Jr. and Joseph DeMark. Diana loved life, cooking and sharing memories with everyone. To honor those memories and celebrate Diana's life, friends and family may join us at McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment to take place in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
