Obituary of William J. Mangan

"Bill" Age 75, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 12, 2016. Bill was born in Elmira, a son of the late William and Susan (Holleran) Mangan. He was predeceased by his wife Theresa in 2002, daughter and granddaughter Patricia (Mangan) and Stephanie Hines in 2002, son William J. Mangan, Jr. in 2011, and brother-in-law, Ron Mason. Bill is survived by his daughter Colleen M. Mangan; son and daughter-in-law Todd M. and Kathryn Mangan, with children Sean, Theresa and Sarah Mangan, all of Elmira; son-in-law, Johnny Hines with his daughters, Lélita, Brittany (Mario) Guttierrez, Jessica and Brianna; great- granddaughter Ava, all of Fredericksburg, VA; sisters, Mary Sue Mangan of Reston, VA, Kathleen Mason of Annandale, VA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Maryann and James Kamas of Pine City; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Bill worked for Streeter Associates for over 40 years, where he was a Master Craftsman. In his younger years he loved to hunt, fish and be outdoors tinkering in his work shop. Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 4:15 p.m. Committal prayers and interment will be in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery Columbarium.
