Please share a memory of Jean to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Age 88, died peacefully, Sunday, December 4, 2016, at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Jean was born March 20, 1928 in Simpson, PA, the daughter of Martin and Jennie (Bochinski) Kelinski. She was predeceased by her husband, Melvin, and infant daughters, Anne Marie and Mary Rose. Jean is survived by her children, with their spouses: Gerald and Joanne Potson of Elmira; Melinda and Nelson Sprague of Syracuse, NY; Jeanne Ramme of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren: Megan (Almir) Durmic of Jacksonville, FL, Melanie (Dylan) Schlott of Reisterstown, MD, Lyndsey Sprague of San Francisco, CA; Maxine and Samantha Ramme of Sarasota, FL; great-grandchildren: Olivia Schlott, Mason Durmic, Whitney Schlott and Lily Schlott. Also surviving are sister-in-law Rita Krenitsky of Simpson, PA; along with many nieces and nephews. Jean and her husband spent their retirement years in Florida and Keuka Lake. Jean had a great sense of humor. She loved the sunshine, warm weather, fishing, and touring the lake in the boat, with cocktails. Jean was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. It was her wish that a private family service, officiated by Father John DeSocio, be held with her cremains being placed, with her husband's, in the St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery Columbarium. The Potson Family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Corbalan, Ken Wrigley, Kelly and the entire 4th floor staff at the Chemung County Nursing Facility for the wonderful care given to Jean for the last 5 years, and especially the compassion they extended to us this past week.
