Obituary of Willie Jackson

Age 72, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Willie was born in Boston GA on November 2, 1943, a son of the late Effie and Lillie Mae ( Lamon ) Jackson. Willie proudly served in the U S Marine Corps from 1960 to 1966. Over the years Willie owned several businesses. He serviced the Southern Tier, accompanied by his wife and later his sons, in home building and home repair. He became a staple in the community for over 30 years. Another job that Willie loved so dear was serving the Lord. He started out as a Deacon and later became an Elder ministering along side his loving wife Pastor Aola Jackson. Together they started and operated Our Father House of Prayer Eternal Church here in Elmira NY. He was predeceased by sisters, Janie Lee Corker, Annie Mae Bell, Fannie Lou Anderson and Ida Lee Taylor; brothers, Lewis Jackson, Jack Jackson, Gene Mullens, and John Mullens. Willie is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Aola (Keebler) Jackson; sons and daughters-in-law, William C.E. Jackson and Beonca N. Jackson of Elmira with children, Amaya, Audem, William Jr, Aubrey and Aurora; Erik B.L. Jackson and Ashea C. Jackson of Elmira with their children Nakari, Kyarah, Ashea; daughter Mary E. E. Jackson of Elmira with her children Mieema and Majestic; sister Susie Jackson of Orlando FL; several nieces and nephews. Willie will be greatly missed by all who knew him, as he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Family and friends are invited to call at Our Father's House of Prayer Church, 330 West Church St, Elmira on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service at Our Father's House of Prayer Church will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. , with Bishop Larry Simpson officiating. Committal prayers and interment, with military honors, at Bath National Cemetery on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Willie's memory may be directed to Our Father's House of Prayer Church.
