Obituary of Susan M. Moore

Please share a memory of Susan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
passed away at Robert Packer Hospital on November 12, 2013 due to a cerebral hemorrhage. She was predeceased by her parents Louise H and Harold L. Walworth. She is survived by her beloved companions Panther and Duffy, her brother William, her nephew Brent (Kimberly), their three boys and her nephew Brad (Tara) and their two girls. Susan was born in Oneonta, NY and the family moved to Elmira when Susan was five. She attended Hendy Avenue grade school, Elmira Free Academy, and graduated from Elmira College. After college she moved to Geneva, NY as an employee of IBM. One of her pride and joys those days was having one of the first red Mustang convertibles produced by Ford. Later she moved to Keuka Lake and was employed for a time at Dr. Konstantin Frank Wine Cellars before going to work as a paralegal at the Henry M. Hille Law firm in Bath, NY. She had many great memories of good times at the lake. She returned to Elmira eventually and went to work for Chemung County in the social services area. After retirement she continued on in Elmira and enjoyed many good friends, especially Gloria and Ron Schaef, long time Elmira area friends, and the gang at the health club she attended five days a week. If called at the wrong time in the AM it could be a very short call because the gym came first at that hour. Burial will be at Sylvan Hills in Greene, NY at the convenience of the family. A memorial gathering will be held in Elmira at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in Susan's memory to the Elmira Animal Shelter, 842 Linden Place, Elmira, NY 14901 or Chemung County Humane Society, 2435 New York 352, Elmira, NY 14903.
