Obituary of Mary Claire Kelly

Mary Claire Kelly Age 67, of Elmira, died very unexpectedly at Arnot Ogden Medical Center on Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Mary Claire was born December 28, 1942, daughter of the late William P. and Ella (Conklin) Schiefen. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Stephen P. Kelly of Elmira; daughter Jeannie L. Kelly of Elmira; son Sean M. Kelly of Lawrenceville, PA, with children, Michael, Sean, Rachael, and Rebecca; uncle James Schiefen and family; brothers-in-law, John "Skip" Kelly, with Bridie Reynolds, of Jackson Heights, NY, Jerry Kelly of Dunedin, FL; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Jeannine and Alan Wright of Matthews, NC, Colleen Schiefen of Wyckoff, NJ; along with several nieces and nephews. Mary Claire was an avid reader. She was a member, and Past-President, of the Ladies Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. A life long communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Mary Claire was a former Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the Sacred Heart Ladies. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of Water and Walnut Sts., on Saturday, April 3, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church. Interment will follow at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. Officers and members of the Ladies Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians will meet at McInerny Funeral Home on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. to conduct a service for our sister Mary Claire.
