Obituary of Mary I. Brann

Mary I. Brann "Mandy" Of Beecher Street, Elmira, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Troy Community Hospital, Troy, PA, after a year long illness. Mary is the daughter of the late Matthew and Helena (Mack) O'Connor. Her husband Charles F. "Chuck" Brann predeceased her on September 24, 1994. She is also predeceased by her brothers and sister, Raymond, William and Elizabeth "Betty" O'Connor. Mary' greatest joy was being a wife and mother. She is survived by her loving children, Thomas M. and Carol M. Brann, both of Elmira; along with several cousins. A devout Catholic, Mary was a life long communicant of St. Anthony's, then St. Patrick's, where she was a member of the Sacred Heart Ladies. For many years Mary was part of a morning coffee group that would meet daily at Light's Bakery. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of Water and Walnut Sts., on Friday, May 7, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 11:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon at St. Patrick's Church. Interment will take place at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. Mary's family would like to thank the nursing and respiratory staff at Troy Community Hospital for the wonderful care provided to her over the last 12 months.
