Mary Ellen Morich
Age 81 of Elmira Heights, died peacefully at her home, with her loving family and friends by her side, on Monday, June 7, 2010. Mary Ellen is the daughter of the late Robert L. and Marion (Matthews) Pautz. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, George Morich; children, with their families, Kathleen E. and Brian Bradley of Phoenix, AZ, with children, Kara, K.C. and Jessica; Nancy A. and Gene Barcomb of Horseheads; Karen E. and Brian Qualey of Horseheads with children, Bridget and Patrick; Michael and Xiaoming Morich of Casselberry, FL with daughter Lulu; Susan M. and Daniel Turner of Elmira Heights with daughters, Kati, Megan and Sarah. Also surviving are 8 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Daniel L. and Carol Pautz of Ellenville, NY; along with several nieces, nephews and in-laws. Mary Ellen was a very active person who was always on the go and lived her life to the fullest. She was a charter member of the Ladies Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the I.A.V., Elmira Heights American Legion Post #154 Auxiliary, and the Horseheads Senior Center. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of Water and Walnut Sts., on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Elmira Heights. Interment and committal prayers will follow at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. Those wishing may remember Mary Ellen with a donation to Southern Tier Hospice, 11751 E. Corning Road, Corning, NY 14830.
Officers and members of the Ladies Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians will meet at McInerny Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 9th, to conduct a prayer service for our departed sister Mary Ellen Morich.
