Age 51, of Horseheads, “the beautiful princess”, who is survived by fiancé  James Mosley, passed away peacefully at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center on Friday, May 24, 2024, after a long illness.  Rachael is predeceased by her father Marvin Braveman.  She is also survived by her mother Christine Braveman of Elmira; brothers, Ryan Braveman of Pine City and Shawn Braveman (wife Jacqui) of Methuen MA; uncle Edward Smith; cousins, Erica Smith Vincent, Tanya Smith Kleinebreil and Brooke Smith Marston; nephews Devin and Remi Braveman; stepdaughter Constance Bennett; granddaughter Charlotte Morey; sister-in-law and friend Patricia Freeman; best friend Shelly Abbey; her faithful canine companion Dayzee; her Schuyler Hospital and Woodbrook families.

Rachel was born in Providence, RI and raised in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.   She moved to the Elmira area shortly after high school to be with her family who had relocated to the area.   Rachael had a dedicated work ethic.  She had worked at Artistic Greetings and the Horseheads Do It Center.  She then entered the health care field which became Rachael’s passion.  She worked as a specialized phlebotomist at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Schuyler Hospital.  Between those two jobs, Rachael worked as the second shift supervisor at Woodbrook Assisted Living Residence.   She enjoyed doing crafts.  Rachael made friends easily and she was a big advocate for anyone who was in need.  She enjoyed her everyday communication with one of her loyal supporters, her friend Patrick John Murphy.
