Marnie,
I apologize for the delay. I was shocked to hear the news. I met your Dad years ago at Highfields. I met you as well as the girls on a couple of occasions. I moved from Grafton in 2013. Your Dad and Joanne would come up to visit us in Newburyport as well as Topsfield. He was a one of a kind and a true gentleman. I missed not seeing him when he moved out to Elmira but was so happy he was with his girls. I will always treasure our friendship and know he is in good hands.
Wishing all the best to you and your family.
Love,
Ed & Rhonda Deane

Dear Jack,
The world has lost one of the finest Irish gentlemen God has ever gifted to us all. I will never forget one moment in time, when you risked a lot to escort me from a tenuous moment at a trade event.
You will always be a role model for all of those who strive to be kind, sincere, and compassionate. God rest your soul. See you another day!

Our sincere condolences to ALL of the O'Dea Family on your loss of Jack. To say he was "one-in-a-million" would be an understatement -- From his first handshake, on to sharing family stories & comparing OUR football teams to HiS beloved Patriots, he was a delightful neighbor at Hoffman Terrace. His fantastic smile, Irish wit & deep Catholic Faith will always be savored memories of Jack, until one day when we see him again, in a MUCH better place. Til then, rest in eternal peace, dear friend, & may God hold you in the palm of His hand!
Dolores & John Boedicker

I went to grade school at Hendy Avenue with "Jackie" O'Dea. Although we didn't stay in touch after grade school, I will always remember him as one of the nicest and kindest guys I've ever met. His sterling character was apparent even in our first grade class.
I'm attaching a picture of Mrs. Harm's first grade class. (Our class pictures were of the girls and boys separately for some reason.) Jackie is in the back row furthest to the left. I will always remember that smile!
My most heartfelt sympathies to Jackie's loved ones. Our loss is Heaven's gain.

Marnie, I am sorry for your lost. Jack worked for me at Hoshizaki New England. The minute I saw Jack’s resume right away I knew he would be great. He won the award as Hoshizaki America Salesman of the year in 2016. He was a great salesman as you know.
Many a day and night I worked with Jack, and he spoke with such pride about his family. Loved to talk about his grandkids and all the accomplishments they achieved. You as well as I heard all the promotions you earned.
It was always a good time to play golf with Jack and going to the 19th hole with him was even more fun.
He will be missed; he was a great guy and great friend.

Jack was a pleasure to know. Glad I was able to do his centerpieces for his family holidays. His stories always brought a smile to my face and I will be forever thankful I got to know him a little bit over the past year as his florist and friend.

To our dear friend Jack. May you rest in eternal peace knowing that as a long-life Patriots fan, you have seen the best football this region will likely ever have. Kathy and I cherished every moment of football with you at our sides in section 128! We have shared such great memories with you and will always remember you with deep fondness. Long may you run, my friend.

to Jack's family:
I am so sorry for your loss. I first met Jack playing at Highfields 14 years ago. As we were both ex caddies, we shared a high respect for the dignity of the game and the relationships which it enabled. Although I couldn't match his "no swearing on the course" self promise, I fondly remember him often calling himself a "dumb Irishman" whenever a shot went awry. whenever the tee pairings were posted for the weekend games, I always smiled and knew I'd have a good day when paired with Jack. Yes, I'd have to hear the same stories about Marnie and his grandkids, or playing all over the world with his sister, but I knew it would be an enjoyable round with many laughs and sometimes good shots.. I also fondly remember the many trips to BC Football games in the fall that Jack would organize. Jack was loved by all and will be sorely missed. God bless.
Sincerely,
Doug May

Shocked…..
My thoughts and prayers go out to Jack and his family.
Played many rounds of golf at Highfields in Grafton with Jack. Always fun and enjoyable with a great partner or teammate. We connected on both going through a Military education.
His was High School, mine was College, at The Citadel. A bond that we understood and respected.
My salute to Jack….
He will never be forgotten…..
