Aaron was so full of life and always wanted to share it with everyone! Loved when Aaron would play QB. We would need a few yard for a first down and the play would come in, QB sneak on 1. I’m still processing losing a dear friend. Aaron was definitely one of a kind. When we talked he was always asking about my life, my family and how I was doing. One of the most kind hearted people I have known. So many memories with him. One I will always cherish, in high school football he was my QB. His favorite play was twins left jet pass te drag. Aaron was a amazing young man when I had the privilege to coach him at ND on the JV team. He always put his team goals ahead of his personal goals and became a great leader. I knew him for almost 25 years after that and he always referred to me as Coach Lep. That might seem like nothing to exciting but it meant a lot to me and showed his true character as a good person. I was a casual patron to the Branch Office for nearly two decades, spanning times where I lived in or away from Elmira. Seeing Aaron as one of the consistently warm and smiling faces behind the bar always brought me closer to a feeling of 'home'. Truly a Cheers-like moment every time he said my name, even after years of not visiting. Aaron was always kind, understanding, and most of all, had a great sense of humor. He made us feel like family. I don't know what the Branch will be like without him, but I know we will always feel his presence as we walk through those doors.
