Beyond shocked at this news. Many games of poorly played three-cent ante poker from high school through recent years where our play slowed, our consumption of beers waned, but our gift for gab increased. Dan was always full of love and joy for his wife, Jeanne and for his family, always with a smile on his face as he spoke of them. For years Dan would call his mother to make sure she was well and to find out if there was something he could do for her. Words cannot convey the enormous loss this news is for our world, but how much better we all are for having known Dan.
