Obituary of June L. Greenier

Age 86 of Elmira, passed away at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center on Friday, June, 2, 2023.  She was the last surviving of 11 children born to Patrick and Margaret (Niver) Riley.  Her 10 siblings that predeceased her were, Mary, Michael, Betty, Leo, Peggy, Sally, Millie, Bill, Jane and Richard.  June was also predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years, Giles J. Greenier.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Michele L. and Curt Taylor of Lawrenceville GA with her daughter Coral Kinkade; daughter Judy M. Greenier of Elmira with fiancé Richard Allen; sons, Bradley Greenier of North Carolina and Kaiden Casselbury of Elmira; sister-in-law Lana Riley of Homer NY; along with many nieces and nephews.

June was a wonderful wife and mother who adored her grandchildren.  She spent many hours in her kitchen, lovingly cooking for family and friends.  June enjoyed music and dancing and had a lovely sense of humor. 

Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St., Elmira, on Friday, June 9, 2023, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.   A funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m.  Committal prayers will then take place at Woodlawn National Cemetery.
