Lucky to have met Pete our first day freshman year at SUNY Plattsburgh. We went on to be friends and fraternity brothers. The bonds Pete grew with all of us were and are longstanding and infinite. We had so many incredible experiences over the years. Spending 4 (minus his quick Albany adventure) years together the memories and stories are endless. While in Colorado my now wife Amy and I had the opportunity to visit. We had the chance to stay at the family lake house and celebrate each others weddings. Over the years distance separated us, but whenever we had the chance to be together is was as if no distance nor time passed. Pete spoke of his girls often and was so proud of them. His larger than life smile and pure goodness will be cherished memories. I feel as though I can go on and on. Glad we had the opportunity to share our condolences in person today. Pete will be greatly missed and will always be with us. Love you Pete.

I have fond memories of Peter. We were on the swimming and diving team together at Albany University in the mid nineties. I remember Peter as a kind loving person. He had a beautiful smile and laugh. When Peter transferred to SUNY Plattsburgh I attended a formal dance with him. He was a gentleman and I was proud to be with such a handsome date. We had a great weekend with friends. After that weekend we lost touch. I am sad to hear the news of his passing. May Peter rest in peace. Peter and you all are in my prayers.

Pete and I were college roommates at Plattsburgh. We quickly became great friends and eventually fraternity brothers. I am honored to call him one of my best friends. I will cherish all memories we had together—from listening to music, mountain biking and the countless hours we spent at the college library. Rest easy my friend, until we meet again.

My sincere condolences go out to the Van Brunt family. It is with great sadness that I write this.
Pete was one of my best friends for many years. I have countless memories of things we had done over the years. We always kept in touch and made a point to get together. A lover of mountains and the outdoors, he was always game for an adventure. Pete was truly a great friend. Kind hearted and gentle. I will miss him greatly. Rest in peace, my good friend..

Pete was a coworker,friend and golf buddy. I am very saddened by his loss. He was a very good golfer and never let me beat him. My favorite phrase he always said when he hit a good putt was "its going in the clowns mouth" He loved his girls and had his struggles, but i am so sorry he could not beat the issues he was dealing with..
He will be greatly missed.

So sorry for your family’s great loss. Gone way too soon… I have many fond memories of Peter as a young boy swimming in the Spotts pool. I remember one time walking next store talking to Lindy.. we stood in the front yard chatting and walked over to the garage. Lindy had been painting and left the open can of paint in the garage. Peter was now in the garage painting the Cadillac! He had one whole side of the car covered in paint! Dear Van Brunt Family:
Sending my sincerest condolences on the loss of your beloved Peter. My heart is broken for all of you.
I rented the apartment above Boyd & Muggsy Spotts when Peter was just a little boy. Lindy, Peter and his brothers always came over for a swim, but I remember Peter being with his mother the most. He was a darling child who possessed tons of energy. I pray it's some comfort knowing Peter has reunited with his dear mother.
