I am so saddened to learn of Mike’s death. He and my Dad were best of friends and after my Dad, Ed Hogan, died, our friendship with Mike continued. While we still lived in NY, we would visit and kept in touch by phone and cards since then, I am sorry I didn’t know he was hospitalized or died until now. I am sure he and my Dad are getting into mischief in heaven. I know how much Mike missed his dear wife and I’m glad he is now with her. My sincere condolences to all his children and grandchildren, of whom he was so very, very proud. God bless you all.

I am saddened to hear of Mike's death. I offer my sincere condolences to all of the Cobb family.
I have known him for many years both before and during my years at ECF. He was not only a real "pro", but a great guy to know and banter with.
My favorite story was the time that I brought him a PAS that had been left unattended on a desk in the kitchen. His speech to the next day's line-up was epic.
Rest in peace, my friend.

Although I never worked with or personally knew Mike I have the comments about him on the retirement page from many men I have worked with and know who did and he was definitely a very well respected and admired man. Most comments are he was the best lieutenant and supervisor the hill ever had. I am sorry for your loss.

Mike was one of the best Lieutenants I ever worked for. We all looked up to him as young Officers. He inspired me with his firm and consistent leadership. RIP brother.

In this wishy-washy social climate of ever changing bandwagons based on money, popularity and self servitude stood a man who lived and stood on values, principles, morals and ideals- a rock of a man named Mike
