My deepest sympathies to Mary’s family. You don’t know me, but you will be pleased to know the impact Mary had on me. I returned to school later in life. Mary was my sociology professor at Corning. She was my favorite professor and hers was my favorite class. She made me think about things in a way that never left me. I’ve thought about her often over the years, and my regret was that I never told her the impact she had on me. I’m certain I wasn’t the only student she had over the years that that held her in the highest regard. Rest in beautiful peace, Mrs. Hungerford. -Your grateful student, Kelly.
