Age 98, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, in Schaghticoke NY. Irene was born in Braintrim Township PA a daughter of Tracey and Alice (Daly) Mace. She was predeceased by husband Wilford G. Williams; infant son Wilford Glenn Williams; daughters, Mary Alice Williams and Maureen Anne Williams McLaine; siblings, Robert T. Mace, Mary Catherine Mace Buffalin, Eugene E. Mace, Charles W. Mace and Tracey H. Mace. Irene is survived by daughter Cynthia "Cindy" Williams of Latham NY; son-in-law Mark McLaine of Hopewell Junction NY; brother and sister-in-law William F. and Virginia Mace of Montgomery AL; several nieces, nephews and godchildren. Irene retired from St. Joseph's Hospital after many years of service. She had been a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial for Irene at St. Patrick's Church, 604 Park Place Elmira, on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. A livestream of the Mass will be available through the Facebook page for Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish (https://www.facebook.com/ElmiraCatholic). Committal prayers and interment will follow at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, 388 Upper Oakwood Avenue, Elmira NY 14903, or to your favorite charity.
