Obituary of James Allan King

James was born in Bensenville, IL on February 15, 1955. He was the son of the late John E King and Dolores (Augustyniak) King. The family moved to upstate New York in 1963, where he graduated from Fairport High School and Alfred University. Jim was a retired engineer for Sorrento Lactalis, as such he traveled extensively. Jim is survived by his siblings Joyce Monje of Liverpool, NY, John (Susan) King of Franklin, MA, and Jay King of Jeffersonville, VT and Amanda Beecher Eubanks of Elmira NY, his loving partner. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Dolores King and Kathie Brockman, his partner of 27 years. Jim had a deep and abiding compassion for those he loved. His passions included his home on Seneca Lake, his beloved dogs, his family and Seneca Lake family gatherings, great rock and roll music, anything mechanical, and the Buffalo Bills. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Chemung County Humane Society/SPCA.
