Obituary of John Edward Rose

Age 64 of Bemidji MN, born in Elmira the son of Edward F. and Congetta (Della Rocco) Rose, passed away on June 1, 2022. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by sisters, Theresa Ann Jackson and Edwina M. Rose. John is survived by his son Jeremy Rose of Horseheads; step-daughter Billie (Patrick) Sartorius of Bemidji with children, David and Kaylen Green; sisters, Mary Sue Rose of Sayre PA and Judith A. (Michael) Stanton of Elmira; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. John was a veteran of the United States Navy and was retired from a long career working in heating and air conditioning. John had a huge heart and love for fun. He lived fast, hard and with love for others. He loved telling all of the stories/memories that he shared with his friends and family. John was always "on the go", never wanting to sit still. He was always a mama's boy and said that he was the favorite because he was the only boy. John loved spending time with his grandbabies and enjoyed events and fun things with them. He will be missed and cherished by many. Family and friends are invited to call at McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a funeral service being held at the conclusion of calling hours.
