Obituary of Nancy L. Marrone

Elmira: Age 77, passed away quietly and very unexpectedly in the early morning hours of March 20, 2022. Nancy was born and raised in Elmira a daughter of the late Robert and Stella (Winiecke) O'Connor. She is also predeceased by sisters, Jeri Cartwright and Kathy Shaw, mother-in-law Grace Marrone, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim and Mary Theresa Keefe, Joe and Patsy Marrone, and niece Carole Keefe. Nancy is survived by her husband of 57 years F. Michael Marrone; children and their spouses, Lisa and Howard Davis, Michael and Donna Marrone, Lynn and Dave Pirozzolo, Joseph and Tami Marrone. Nancy was Nana to the lights of her life, grandsons, Trevor (Sarah), Ryan (Emily), Jake (Amari), Patrick (Jessica), Shawn (Bailey), and Matthew. Nana also leaves her very special great-grandchildren whom she loved with her whole heart, Reagan and Daniel. Nancy is also survived by her sister-in-law Willie Mack, brothers-in-law, Ken Cartwright and Dave Shaw; nieces, nephews, and their families, Mary Kimble, Bill Keefe, Tina Garling, Joe Keefe, Billy Mack, Chris Cartwright, Keith Cartwright; and her nieces that held a special place in her heart, and their families, Patti Root and Teresa Shaw. Nancy will also be missed by her very dear friend, with whom she was very close, Sandy Brown and her family. The most important thing to Nancy was her family. She never stopped worrying about her family and we never questioned her love for us. Private services will be held.
