Obituary of Michael J. Horgan

Elmira: Age 90, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021. Mike was born in the Bronx, the son of Andrew and Ellen (Whooley) Horgan. He is survived by his wife Joan F. Horgan (Summerton); children; Patricia E. Horgan of Bronxville NY, Kathleen D. Robinson of Centerport NY, Carol A. (Michael) Lesher of Kennett Square PA, Michael A. Horgan of Elmira; twelve grandchildren; brother Andrew Horgan and his wife Charlotte, of Amagansett, Long Island; along with three nieces and two nephews. Mike is predeceased by his sister Eileen Brewster. He was a US Army veteran serving his country from 1952 – 1954. Mike retired as Chairman of Credit Policy and Chief Credit Officer of Citibank/Citicorp in 1997.
Mike's service will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at St. Patrick's Church, 604 Park Place, Elmira. There will be a visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne NY on Friday, August 27, 2021.
