Richmond, VA – Age 85, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Autumn Care of Mechanicsville, Nursing Facility. Joe was born April 23, 1936, in Elmira, a son to Joseph and Rose Lamentia Mustico. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Dooley Mustico; brothers, Orlando, Carmen, Rinaldo, Carl and sisters, Josephine and Theresa Mustico. Joe is survived by his daughters, Christen (Salvatore) Balistreri of Buffalo, NY and Beth (Rick) Watson with daughters, Katie and Laura Watson, all of Mechanicsville, VA; sister Mary Mustico of Elmira; brother and sister-in-law Alexander and Diane Mustico of Worcester NY; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joe was a U S Army veteran and retired from Elm Chevrolet in Elmira. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Saturday, July 3, 2021 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. His funeral service will follow at 11:15 am. Following the service, military honors will be accorded. Flowers will be provided by the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Joe’s memory can be made to Families of the Wounded Fund, www.fotwf.org/donate or P.O. Box 5327, Midlothian, VA 23112-0023.
