Obituary of Roselle G. Kotch

Please share a memory of Roselle to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Age 93, passed away on December 16, 2020 in Waverly. Rose was a warm and loving person who radiated kindness. Her years were spent enjoying her family and making friends wherever she went. Born in Wilkes-Barre to the late Joseph and Anna Riscavage Andresky, she graduated from St. Nicholas HS and went to work at the credit bureau. Dances were a big deal back in the day, and a really big deal for her because that's where she met future husband Bob. They got engaged on Halloween, which was one of her favorite stories. The young couple moved to Elmira and started their family. Rose was a great wife and mom. She ran the household until her children were grown, then returned to the workforce as an associate in the drapery department at Iszard's. She got to know many people in the community there. Rose was also a strong, determined survivor. She learned to drive at age 65 after losing her husband, and maintained a busy schedule running her grandchildren to activities, helping neighbors get groceries and going to bingo with the ladies at every opportunity. For the past two years, she resided with her extended family at Elderwood Assisted Living in Waverly where, much to her delight, they had bingo. Rose was predeceased by her husband, Robert Sr., who was her one and only. She is survived by daughter Sharon (Jeff) Stone, son Robert Jr. (Amanda), grandchildren Chris, Sarah (Ryan), Chris (Jennifer), Drew (Alison) and great grandchildren, Aiden, Alex, Ava, James, William and the other Alex. The family will hold a Memorial Service at a later time.
