Age 69 of Elmira, passed away peacefully at home, Monday morning, November 12, 2018. Kathy was born in Elmira, daughter of the late John M. and Ellen M. (McCarthy) Welickovitch. She is predeceased by her father-in-law and mother-in- law, Henry M. and Dorothy (Eddy) Decker. Kathy is survived by her loving husband Harold "Harry" Decker; her daughter, Christine Watts-Wright with husband Jack of Horseheads; brothers and sister-in-law, Michael J. and Bernadine Welickovitch of Montoursville, PA with their children Matthew and Daniel Welickovitch, and Kevin M. Welickovitch of Ridgebury, PA; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Rose Foster, Henry and Ellen Decker, Roxanne Corey, Tracy and Daniel Wheaton, William and Bernie Decker; several nieces and nephews, special nieces, Barbara Miller, Kimberly Gilbert and great niece Lottie-Mae Watts. She is also survived by her loving companion Lucy. She was a member and served as secretary for VFW Post 901 and American Legion Post 443. Kathy loved gardening, puzzles and was a lover and collector of antiques. She also loved spending time with her family and friends on Seneca Lake. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St., Elmira, on Saturday November 17, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kathy's name can be made to a charity of one's choice. The family wishes to thank Dr. Roberto Mauri and his staff for their compassionate care to Kathy.
