Ann graduated from Elmira Catholic High in 1938 and married Floyd Ross in May of 1942. Ann and Floyd lived in various U.S. locations during Floyd's Army enlistment. They remained happily married for the next 45 years, enjoying each other's company, large family gatherings, and country living on West Hill Rd. Several years after Floyd's passing Ann married Harold Perry. Ann had a long and successful career in the insurance business beginning with Keefe and Baker insurance and later with Perry and Swartwood, now Perry and Carroll. As a representative in personal lines, she excelled in sales, was known for her excellent customer service and forged many long-term friendships. She retired in 1984 and began a second endeavor as an extraordinary bookkeeper with Ross Design and Graphics where she kept things running and running smoothly for over 20 years! Ann, always generous with her time, was a literacy volunteer for many years. Ann was a devoted mother who created a happy home with ease and grace while always working full-time. An excellent cook, Ann took pride not only in the taste, but the presentation of everything she prepared. Ann was an artist in her own right doing watercolors, writing, and sewing her own clothes as well as being an avid gardener. She enjoyed traveling, with trips to Greece, Italy, and Sicily where the family has relatives today. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at the Chemung County Nursing Facility for their dedicated, friendly, and caring services. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for family and friends will be held at Ss. Peter and Paul Church on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a remembrance in Ann's name to the charity of your choice or to the City of Elmira Animal Shelter or Chemung County SPCA.
