Harriet was one of my most treasured friends while I attended Elmira College (1985-1989). I spent most Sunday evenings at her home tutoring Liz in math ( that’s why she’s so successful), doing my laundry and ironing and having a home cooked meal. She was my family, my home away from home while I attended Elmira. Our friendship continued after graduation with visits, hand written letters (oh, how I envied her gorgeous handwriting) and frequent emails. After learning of her diagnosis this past year I traveled with Brad Fox to visit with her in Elmira for a few days. It was a meaningful and great time. We rode around Elmira where she dispensed facts that I never knew. I will always treasure my friendship with Harriet and will miss her greatly. Her feisty spirit will live within me forever.

Harriet was a wonderful friend, outstanding work colleague and great person. She was so very kind to my daughter when she was at EC. Harriet offered wisdom and guidance as well as kindness and compassion. She was one tough cookie and no one at E! ever crossed her. She was really good and I was blessed to have her work with me! While I am sad, she left two wonderful children who have been by her side during this long battle. I know how proud she is of Jim and Liz. They are her legacy!
