Obituary of Jeanne M. Kiernan

age 66, of Hector, NY, passed peacefully on Thursday, June 14th at home on her beloved Seneca Lake surrounded by her family.  She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Thomas J. Kiernan, Jr., and their two daughters, Cortney Kiernan of Chapel Hill, NC and Kimberly Kiernan and her husband William Swacker of Simsbury, CT.  Jeanne also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren, Riley, Grady and Ellery Swacker and her sweet granddog Derby.  She is also survived by her siblings, who were her first and best friends: John Ervin, Patricia Ervin, Michael and Marilyn Ervin, Anne Ervin and James Waldrep, Rosemary and Marvin Sheldon, Patrick and Susan Ervin and Bernadette Ervin and Steven Woodhouse.  Jeanne also leaves behind many much-loved nephews and nieces and her dear friends, particularly Janet Harvey and Connie Letts.  She was predeceased by her parents John and Helen Ervin, sister Margaret Ervin, brother Matthew Ervin  and sister-in-law Jean Ervin.  Her family will gather for a private tribute.  Jeanne was deeply loved and adored by her family.  She was our true north, our fiercest champion, our deepest laughter, our brightest light, our sincerest joy.  We will miss her always but know the sky shines brighter now.  Godspeed fair one.
