Obituary of John B. Wipfler

Age 70, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 20, 2018. Jack was born in Elmira, a son of the late John M. and Gretchen Singerhoff Wipfler. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, JoAnne Zorich Wipfler; daughters Jenna Strickland of Simpsonville SC and Elizabeth "Betsy" Wipfler of Elmira Heights; brother and sister-in-law David and Carolyn Wipfler of Omaha NE; sister and brother-in-law Mary Jane and David Carroll of South Bend IN; brother-in-law Daniel Zorich of Horseheads. Also surviving are a niece, nephews and cousins. Jack was involved in several different facets of the automobile industry with many local companies during his working career. He loved all sports. Jack was an avid golfer and fisherman of local lakes and streams. He will be remembered as a loving husband, a caring father and a loyal friend. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held this summer at a date and time to be announced. Those wishing may remember Jack with a donation to the Arnot Ogden Medical Center Foundation, 600 Roe Ave., Elmira NY 14905.
