I left a separate message to the family on the Hot Truck site before I found this. Suffice it to say that the world has lost one of the kindest, most loving men who ever graced this earth.
Thank you, Bobby, for your strength, commitment to family, and everything you have inspired your friends and family to do.

I just learned of Bob's passing. I send my sincere condolences to his extended family. I remember him fondly from when I was a child and would frequent Johnnie's with my siblings. If Sharon reads this, I lived in Concord, NC from 2004-2014. I am so sorry for your family's loss.

Words can not express the depth of compassion and sorrow over how Bob lived, loved his family, and the graceful expression of his inner strength and fortitude has affected those who love him most. All I can say is “What can I do for you right now?”

Thinking of you and sending all good wishes and blessings, thinking of Bob, knowing him since high school and your wonderful family including at Johnny’s Big Red Grill. You are all such amazing, special people-thank you, thank you, thank you! I don’t know what to say-but I’m there in spirit and sending lots of love. God bless Bob and all of you.

I love my nephew, Bob Petrillose, and he is close to the top of my list of people I have loved and admired in my 74 years. I can't praise Bobby until I hold up the strength and grace of his partner in life, Mimi. I don't want to use hyperbole in reminiscing about him but it is hard. He was a good man he was a kind man he was a loving, intelligent, faithful, and funny man. I weep at the forced use of "was." I know his love is with us. I don't believe in the heaven taught in Sunday school but I know from first-hand knowledge that there is a better place on the other side. So in my world where nothing is ever created and nothing ever dies, Bobby my wonderful friend and nephew IS. I will hold him in my heart until I am free to join him on the other side.

Bob Petrillose was a great brother-in-law of 30 years, but his best quality was that he was a wonderful father. He LOVED his kids and grand-kids (not to mention Mimi, who made all of the others possible). Any man who wanted to see how best to treat his progeny could look to no better man than Bob. He enjoyed every moment with his kids and grand-kids, and it was crystal clear to anyone who was at their house. He was also a car aficianado and one of the smartest guys I know. We will all miss Bob, his humor, and his generosity. The world shrunk when Bob passed on. --Jim P.

Bob was one of the nicest human beings I have ever known...he and His family deserved a longer time together. This dreadful disease has taken too many good people, and my heart breaks for all of you. I will keep you in my prayers.
