Robert C. DeMember
Age 71, of Elmira, NY, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, after a brief illness. Robert was born March 21, 1941 in Elmira, son of the late William and Daphne Hunt DeMember. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Marian Coolbaugh DeMember; daughter, April DeMember of Hampton, VA; sons and daughters-in-law, David & Melinda DeMember of Boise, Idaho and Robert & Catherine DeMember of Elmira, NY; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brother, William DeMember, Jr.; sister, Donna Rome, and his dear aunt "Larry" Zelda Hoyt, all of Elmira. Robert served his country in the U.S. Army. After the Army, Robert attended Southern Methodist University. In his later years he owned and operated Five Points Jewelers in Jacksonville, FL. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia. Robert is now with his Lord and he will be greatly missed by his loving family. In honoring his wishes services will be private.
