Age 95, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center.  Leone was born at home in Lawrenceville PA, the last surviving of 7 children to Charles Leon and Harriet Hudson Tilford.  She was predeceased by her husband Harry Welch Jr; her 6 siblings Archibald Tilford, Bernice Adams Jones, Constance Tilford, Mary Henderson, Ann Tilford and Hudson Tilford.  Leone is survived by her children, Bruce Welch (JoAnn) of Pine City, Ann Welch Wood of Elmira, James Welch (Mary Beth) of Austin TX and Martha Clark of Corning; grandchildren, Brian Welch, Matthew Welch (Christine), Amy L. Welch (Amy K.), Dana Wood (Laura), Melissa Radcliffe (Greg), Warren Wood (Melody), Joshua Welch, Jenna Barelski (Mark), Nicolette Klinglesmith (Kenneth), Aaron Clark (Laura) and Jason Clark (Rene); 14 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. 

Leone was a person of strong faith in God with a great appreciation for the natural world and all of the works of His hands.  Her great passion and devotion to family and friends was abundantly clear.  Leone was an avid reader, adept card player, and skilled baker, most widely known for her sugar cookies.  She was a longtime faithful member of Webb Mills United Methodist Church.  Private family services will be held.  Those wishing may remember Leone with a donation to either Webb Mills Cemetery Association, 534 Sagetown Road, Pine City NY 14871 or Webb Mills United Methodist Church, P.O.
