Obituary of James F. Agan

– Dad, Papa, Grandpa, Great Grandfather Dear, Jimbo, Chief - Jim died on Saturday, October 10, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born October 3, 1932, a son of the late Eugene F. & Marjorie (Manley) Agan.
Jim was predeceased by his fantastic wife and life partner, Mary "Babe" Savino Agan in 2006 and brother, V. Thomas Agan. He is survived by his 9 children with spouses: Deborah & Daniel Donovan, Donna & Donald Bennett, Dr. James & Linda Agan, Susan & Patrick Ervin, Mary "Mimi" & David Clark, Vickie Agan, Terese & Jeffrey Hofmann, Mark & Catherine Agan, Linda & Harry Schornstheimer, and the 10th Agan, James & Mary Pirozzolo, His 28 grandchildren and 29 great-grand children.
Also surviving Jim are his siblings, Eugene F. & Marian Agan, Susan E. Savino, Patrick Agan & Dennis Dumont, and Ann Wagner; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frank Savino, Blanche Pirozzolo, William Gamer, Linda and James Collins, Patricia and Tom Mailey; plus a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Jim was employed by the American LaFrance Corporation for 35 years and Schweizer Aircraft for 12 years. He also served his country from 1951-1955 in the U.S.A.F. (Korean War). Jim will be remembered as a gentle, kind loving man with a quick wit. He was the king of one-liners and could make you laugh even up to his last moments. Jim was a devout Catholic and the love for his family was immense.
Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home on Monday, October 12, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at St. Patrick's Church. Interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Jim's memory be made to "Wounded Warrior Project", National Processing Center, P O Box 758541, Topeka KS 66675; or Father Damian Milliken African Fund c/o St. Paul's Abbey, P O Box 7, Newton, NJ 07860, or to a charity of your choice.
