Obituary of Robert William Sparling, Jr.

Age 50, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, June 22, 2015. Bob was born in Flushing NY on October 12, 1964 the son of the late Robert W. Sr. and Theresa (Benson) Sparling. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by previous wife Barbara (Conz) Sparling. Bob is survived by wife Tammy Sparling; children, William J. Sparling of Pine City, Robert William Sparling III of Colorado, Amanda (Chris) Macy of Little Rock AK; step children, James (Jessica) Conz of Elmira, Nicole (Robert) Jackson of Elmira, David Miller and Jermaine Miller both of Pine City; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karalyn and Wade Hill of San Antonio TX, Peg and Bob Green of Pine City; several grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Bob was a U S Air Force veteran. He enjoyed camping and riding his Harley. Bob was an accomplished guitar player and had played in his band "The Breeze" for the last four years. He was presently employed as an HVAC technician at Bethany Manor. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 West Water Street, Elmira on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 8:15 p.m. Committal prayers and interment, with military honors, will take place on Friday, June 26, 2015, at 12:00 noon at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery. Donations in Bob's memory may be directed to the Wilmont Cancer Center at Strong Memorial Hospital, 601 Elmwood, Avenue, Rochester NY 14620.
