Obituary of Gerald M. Crowe

Gerald M. Crowe Pine City: Age 68, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Jerry was born July 7, 1944, in Williamsport PA, the son of the late Edward H. and Alice (Nixon) Crowe. He is also predeceased by brothers, James and Lawrence, nephew Edward Van Horn. Jerry is survived by his brother George Crowe; sister and brother-in-law Helen and William VanHorn; niece Kathryn; nephew James; grandnephews, Brenden and Jacob; special friends, Greg, Stan and Don; K-9 friends, Sophie and Daisy; along with several cousins and many "Friends of Bill". Jerry was a 1964 graduate of Southside High School. He entered the U S Army serving his country in Viet Nam. Jerry was a sheet metal worker and was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Union #112, Elmira. He was a life-time member of the Elmira Elks Lodge #62. An avid car enthusiast Jerry was the proud owner of a Jaguar. Both NYS and Pennsylvania lotteries will miss his weekly contributions. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, on Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. A funeral service, along with military honors, will follow. Those wishing may remember Jerry with a donation to Chemung County SPCA, Route 352, Elmira NY 14903, or Fisher House Foundation, 111 Rockville Pike, Suite 420, Rockville MD 20850-5168, which is an organization that assists military families in their time of need. Special thanks to the 4B Medical Staff and the Dialysis Unit at AOMC for the wonderful care provided to Jerry.
