Windsor NY: Age 56, passed away very unexpectedly on Sunday, September 7, 2014. Betsy was born in Elmira on September 6, 1958 a daughter of Margaret (Dean) Lagonegro and the late Robert F. Lagonegro. Betsy is also predeceased by her brother-in-law Paul D. Hill. In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband Drew E. Hill, with whom she just celebrated 30 years of marriage; daughters, Rebecca E. L. Hill of Richmond VA, Kaitlin M. E. Hill of Syracuse NY and Hannah G.L. Hill of Windsor NY; brothers and sister-in-law, Jerome "Jerry" H. Lagonegro of Big Flats, J. Timothy Lagonegro of Pittsburgh PA, Michael R. Lagonegro of Rochester, Andrew and Laura Lagonegro of Elmira; sister and brother-in-law Margaret "Margie" and Michael Coar of Hewitt NJ; mother-in-law Ernestine Barnes of Savannah NY and her husband Wesley; father-in-law Dean E. Hill of Pine City and his wife Suzanne; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mark D. and Kathy Hill of Brockport NY, John E. Hill and Benita Parks-Hill of Newark Valley NY; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins. Betsy was the survivor of many difficulties in life who nevertheless presented a spirit of joy and love to everyone she met. The foundation of her life was her faith in Jesus' goodness. Betsy naturally shared her faith and love with the downtrodden, hurting and forgotten. She ministered to inmates in medium and maximum security prisons throughout central NY on spiritual retreats and also served in the same capacity outside of prison. Feeding the hungry or giving to the needy were among the concerns for which she worked. During her professional career, she cared deeply for her patients, often praying for them and encouraging them to persevere. Betsy was the proud mother of three beautiful daughters, whom she taught to love others from a pure heart. She was quick to laugh and encourage to sacrifice herself in order to serve her family. She loved her husband Drew as much as one human can; he was her hero, and she was his. They were lovebirds throughout all of these years, and everyone could see it. She will be remembered with utmost joy and gratitude, for the many lives she has changed on this side of heaven.
