Obituary of Theresa C. Spallone

Age 86, passed away peacefully at Elcor Health Services on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Theresa was born in Elmira on July 25, 1927 daughter of John and Emily (Drzewiecki) Sypniewski. She was the youngest, and last, of 10 children. Theresa was predeceased by her husband Vincent J. Spallone, Sr. and son John A. Spallone, Sr. Theresa is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Rosemarie and Chuck Franzese, Watkins Glen, Barbara M. Mold, Elmira; son Vincent J. Spallone Jr., Tampa Bay FL; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Theresa E. Spallone, Rochester, Frank Spallone, Patrick McElligott, both of Elmira and Molly Richardson, Watkins Glen; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Theresa and her husband Vinnie were the owners of Vinnie's Lounge in Elmira for 43 years. Her greatest love was time spent with family. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Church on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Woodlawn National Cemetery. Donations in Theresa's memory may be directed National Kidney Foundation, 731 James Street, Suite 200, Syracuse NY 13203.
