Obituary of Benny V. D'Aloisio

Elmira: Age 67, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, March 3, 2014. Benny was born in Elmira, son of the late Benny V., Sr. and Mary (Mastronardi) D'Aloisio. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Patricia Nettles D'Aloisio; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Cheryl D'Aloisio, Atlanta GA with their daughter Lily; daughter Aimee Decker, Elmira with her son Benny; sister and brother-in-law Barbara J. and William Limoncelli, Horseheads; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Kathy and John Balch, Colorado Springs CO, Tripp and Liz Nettles, San Antonio TX, Timothy and Liz Nettles, Wyoming; nephew and nieces, Jeff and Amy Limoncelli, Elmira and Lisa Limoncelli, Atlanta GA; several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Benny was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree from David Myers College in Cleveland OH. Benny was a long time chef at Bernie Murray's. He was an avid New York Yankee and PGA fan. He enjoyed his garden and, in his earlier years, playing golf. Benny was known to be the type of person who would help anyone at a moment's notice without question. Benny loved the time he was able to spend at Mount Saviour Monastery and he mostly cherished the time spent with his grandchildren. He loved skyping with his granddaughter Lily and planting garlic in his garden with his grandson Benny. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St., on Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held there on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Benny's memory may be directed to Mount Saviour Monastery, 231 Monastery Road, Pine City NY 14871.
