Obituary of Aurelia R. Meck

Victor NY: Age 90, formerly of Elmira, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2013. Aurelia was born July 2, 1923, in Elmira, the daughter of Mary (MacNamara) and Daniel J. Ryan. She is predeceased by her husband Edward J. Meck, sons, Timothy S. and James M. Meck, son-in-law David Latterell. Aurelia is survived by her children, with their spouses, J. Karen Meck, Fairport NY, Marijon and Joseph LeMark, Victor NY, Bernadette Forrest, Orlando FL, Edward "Jack", Jr. and Rory Meck, Rotunda West FL, Margaret Ann "Bridgette" and Paul Brady, Fairport NY, William P. and Jeannette Meck, Pine City, Brian G. and Kathy Meck, East Syracuse NY, Ann Marie Latterell, Elmira; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Frances "Bonnie" Ryan, Florida; along with several nieces and nephews. Aurelia grew up in the large Ryan family home that was located on the corner of William and East Second Street in Elmira. The household consisted of three generations of Ryan's and there were nearly thirty family members living there at one time. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a rosary service to follow. A prayer service will held at the funeral home on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Elmira. Interment, with committal prayers, will then take place at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
