Obituary of Patricia D. Lynch

Elmira: Age 84, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the Robert Packer Hospital. Pat was born in Elmira on July 18, 1929, daughter of Patrick J., Sr. and Elinore (Wright) Dwyer. She was predeceased by husband Gerald G. Lynch, brothers, John M., Joseph M. and Patrick J., Jr., Dwyer; stepdaughter Kathryn Lynch. Pat is survived by her brother William J. Dwyer, Syracuse; sisters, Maureen Dwyer and Mary Flasphler, both of Elmira; stepdaughters, Linda Lynch, Regina (Russell) Hanson, Sylvia (Robert) Devitt, Susan (Michael) Kratochvil and Mary Claire Vesneske; numerous step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and several close friends. Pat was an impeccable dresser and a world traveler. She was an avid bridge player and reader. Pat had been employed by the City of Elmira and Chemung County. She was later involved with Finger Lakes tourism and served as a Docent at the Corning Museum of Glass for many years. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Woodlawn National Cemetery. Donations in Pat's memory may be directed to the Southern Tier Association for the Visually Impaired, 719 Lake St., Elmira NY 14901.
