Robert L. Spangenberg Vestal NY: Passed away peacefully on January 7, 2013 in his daughter's Elmira home, surrounded by his family, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Robert was born on June 6, 1930 in Endicott NY, the son of Thomas and Frances (Lane) Spangenberg. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 51 years Constance (Kintner) Spangenberg in 2002. Bob is survived by his daughters, with their families; Kathleen and Mark Winslow of Fairfax VA and their children Matthew (Marissa) Tatusko and Kiprian (Abby) Tatusko; Laurie and Donald Frisk of Elmira and their children Robert, Julia, Edward and Valerie Frisk; great grandchildren, Jackson, Luke and Maria Tatusko, Ezra Tatusko; along with numerous other relatives and friends. Bob was an active member of the Endicott Kiwanis Club, Round Hill Masonic Lodge #533 of Endicott and the Valley of Binghamton Scottish Rite Masons. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed many interests and hobbies including fishing, gliding and creating various devices in his workshop. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. At his family's request services will be held at Vestal Hills Cemetery Chapel, 3997 Vestal Road, Vestal NY on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. In Bob's memory donations may be made to one of the following…Harris Hill Soaring Club, 57 Soaring Hill Drive, Elmira NY 14903, Meals On Wheels of Western Broome County, 705 W. Main Street, Endicott NY 13760, or Salvation Army, 703 E. Main Street, Endicott NY 13760.
