Mary Elizabeth Baker "Betty" Age 85, of St. David's, Pennsylvania, died peacefully on January 9, 2010 after a brief illness. Betty graduated from Southside High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree from the Cornell University School of Nursing in 1947. She was actively involved with several charitable organizations, and was a long time member of the "25 Club" of the Magee-Womens Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa. Betty was devoted to God and to praying for the needs of family, friends, and even strangers. She spent many hours praying for those on her lengthy prayer list and was a devout member of the Catholic Church. In St. David's, she and Joe attended the 6:30 am mass at St. Katherine of Siena each day until her illness. In retirement, they traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia. She loved her family, especially her sixteen grandchildren.
