Marie Shultz Woodard
Of Elmira passed to her heavenly reward, after a brief illness, on Wednesday, March 3, 2010. Marie was born February 24, 1917, daughter of Margaret K. (Churchill) and William W. Shultz. She is predeceased by her husband of 59 years, James C. Woodard. Marie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jean and John Oshetski of Erin; grandchildren, John Oshetski, Jr., of Erin, Marabeth Oshetski, with daughter Adah Kathryn, of Elmira; Dr. James (Julie) Oshetski of Freeport, ME,with children, Andrew Quinn and Ella Ruby; Michael (Janelle) Oshetski of Horseheads; niece Judy (Stan) Goble of Bradenton, FL; and special pet cat "Swiffer". Marie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an especially caring person always ready to lend an ear or a helping hand. She loved to crochet and donated many layette sets to St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary. There will be no calling hours. Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Church. Interment will take place at St. Michael's Cemetery, Canton, PA, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Marie with a donation to St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary, 555 St. Joseph's Boulevard, Elmira, NY 14901.
