Donna and I grew up together, living around the corner from each other. We spent many a summer day on her back porch playing with our Muffy dolls. We even stepped into design, making their clothes!! Donna taught me how to tie my shoes. When I got stung by a bee, she knew to put mud on my sting. In early elementary school, Donna and I had to finish our homework before we could play. She convinced me that if I learned cursive writing my homework would be done sooner and back to our Muffy dolls we could go. Yes, I learned cursive from Donna. As older women, when I was checking out of Palmer’s, she would throw her head back and laugh. She still remembered my phone number after 60 years. I remember Donna roundly. Margo Gumosky
