Obituary of Marlene T LeMark

Age 77, of Elmira passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Marlene was the daughter of the late William and Theresa Makowiec Hurley. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Charles S. LeMark; son and daughter-in-law, John M. and Andrea LeMark of White Plains, NY, grandchildren Julia and Amanda LeMark; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Victoria Hurley of Amherst, NY; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary and Tom Diehr of Pine City, NY; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph and Marijon LeMark of Victor, NY; first cousins, Jackie Conklin and Karen D’Onofrio who were like sisters to Marlene; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marlene worked for Chemung Canal Trust Company for 25 years. She loved traveling with her husband Chuck to many places including Florida, Las Vegas and California, just to name a few. She enjoyed many competitive nights around the table with family and friends playing board games and cards. She attended many concerts of her favorite band, the Rolling Stones, and actively rooted (cursed at!) the NY Yankees and the Buffalo Bills. Marlene was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Chemung County Nursing Facility 3^rd floor for the wonderful care Marlene received.

Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home on Tuesday April 22, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 (noon). A brief funeral service will follow at 12:15 p.m. at the funeral home officiated by Rev. John DeSocio. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Marlene’s name can be made to the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 1010 Davis Street, Elmira, NY 14901.
