Obituary of Theodore Reidy

Theodore “Ted” Reidy died April 7, 2025 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center after a series of medical health issues.  Ted was born April 10, 1951 to Edith Rose and Harry Reidy.   He was predeceased by his mom in 2003 and dad in 2020 and his sister Mary Theresa in 1953.

 

Ted is survived by: sons Steven (Patricia) of Horseheads with grandchildren Raven and

Marianna and son Andrew. Siblings are: Elizabeth (Quita) and John Bilzor of Virginia Beach, VA;

Tom (Vicki) Reidy of Tampa, FL; Paul (Nancy) Reidy of Horseheads; Mary (Greg) Fay of Columbia

Cross Roads, PA; Harry (Cheryl) Reidy of Horseheads; Edith Alice of Bath, NY; Wini (John) Dillon

of Canton, MA; Maureen (Clinton) Mann of Syracuse, NY; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and

friends in addition to Uncle Richard (Teresa) Reidy and Aunt Wini Widman.

 

Ted graduated from Notre Dame High School worked at various occupations then served in

the United States Navy.  After the Navy he returned to civilian work until retirement.

 

Ted attended Mass at various Catholic Churches both weekly and for a time daily.  He 

sent birthday, anniversary, and holiday cards to all family members and contributed to

many charitable causes.

 

Honoring Teds’ wishes there will not be a viewing.  A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 9:30 a.m., at St. Patricks’ Church, 604 Park Place, Elmira. Interment, with military honors, at St. Peter & Paul’s Cemetery will follow.
